Thanks to the support of over 50 organisations who wrote emails and letters of support, Minister Turia has granted us a three month extension of our MoH funding contract. She has also agreed to look for ways of us retaining our funding.

In the next month I will be working with the Minister's office on this.

Additionally we will also continue looking at other options - primarily relating to our information and networking functions, as we are still uncertain about the future.

However, we feel buoyed but the result of our meeting with the Minister. And moreover, by the overwhelming support we have from members who have expressed their need for work we do.
